The CNC Process Engineer will analyze product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine the best method for production using existing manufacturing processes. This role involves creating, implementing, and troubleshooting CNC programs for new parts start-ups, and determining the feasibility of designing new tooling or equipment. The engineer will provide technical information on manufacturing processes, materials, and properties, and confer with customers to resolve design or process issues. Responsibilities also include directing prototype production, conferring with vendors, estimating production times and costs, and collaborating with manufacturing management and staff to facilitate production. The role focuses on developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods to increase production levels while enhancing cost, yield, quality, and safety. Additionally, the engineer will troubleshoot process problems, develop and update process procedures, determine test methods for engineering changes, stay updated on new technologies, perform technical presentations, and assist in sales proposal documentation.
