This first-shift role involves setting up jobs from start to finish, programming and operating CNC machines, and collaborating with Quality and Engineering to support efficient and proper production runs. The position also includes troubleshooting quality and machine concerns, maintaining machine integrity, and collecting and documenting data. PSM emphasizes employee support through shift placement, work-life balance, on-the-job training, and employee engagement and appreciation events.

Requirements

At least 5 years of CNC setup experience.
Proficiency in G-Code programming at the machine.
Proficiency in job setup, including initial setup stages, machining jaws and workholding, tool setup, and programming.
Confidence interpreting blueprints.
Knowledge of and experience with lathe, mill, and machining center setups.

Responsibilities

Set up jobs from start to finish.
Communicate with Quality and Engineering to ensure efficient and proper production runs.
Operate CNC machines between setup tasks.
Meet or exceed efficiency and production rate requirements.
Troubleshoot quality and machine concerns.
Maintain the mechanical integrity of machines through maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
Collect and document data.
