About The Position

The Gund Company is seeking skilled CNC Operators for their 2nd shift in St. Louis, MO. This is a full-time position where operators are responsible for bringing complex, custom-engineered parts to life. The role emphasizes precision, hands-on work, and a team-first culture that values craftsmanship, accountability, and continuous improvement. Unlike repetitive assembly-line work, this position involves operating multiple CNC machines and expanding skill sets, with direct impact on product quality and performance.

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints and follow written instructions
• Experience operating CNC equipment or similar machining tools
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
• Basic to intermediate math skills and problem-solving ability
• Experience using measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production

Nice To Haves

• Prior manufacturing or machining experience
• Vocational or technical training in machining or fabrication

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, and machining centers)
• Load materials, secure parts, and execute work orders based on specifications and blueprints
• Ensure parts meet quality standards through inspection and measurement
• Complete work order documentation accurately
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Collaborate with team members and assist with training others
• Follow all safety and quality standards while actively contributing ideas for improvement
