CNC Operator - 2nd Shift

About The Position

Operates both CNC lathes and CNC milling machine centers. Evaluates parts to match blueprint specifications, such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions. Adheres to quality assurance procedures and processes. Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined workpiece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers. Operates bench grinder to sharpen tools. Completes daily maintenance. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Cleans and maintains work area. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2 - 4 years of metal hand finishing or deburring experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent of progressive related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experienced machinist able to apply commonly used concepts, practices, and processes in a Machine Shop environment.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and processes in a Machine Shop environment.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and will not now or in the future require sponsorship for an employment visa.
  • All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
