CNC Operator 1st & 2nd Shifts

About The Position

BLADE is a producer of deployable solutions, including shelters, generators, environmental control units, air filtration devices, and other engineered solutions, primarily for the defense industry. The primary function of the CNC Operator is to set up and run CNC milling machine jobs. The role also operates a Trumpf laser and performs production reporting, material handling, and cycle-counting tasks while following work instructions and quality and safety standards. The position may support lean, Six Sigma, quality, and safety initiatives and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

G-code programming experience.
Ability to work from verbal and written instructions.
Experience with small power tools, other hand tools, and computerized and high-pressure equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, work overhead with arms, and sit or stand for several hours at a time.
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by plant rules.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1–3 years of industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Program, edit, fixture, and set up CNC milling machine jobs.
Operate a Trumpf laser.
Accurately report shop-floor production data through a computer terminal and/or written reporting.
Follow visual and written work instructions to complete assigned tasks within the allotted time.
Perform cycle counting of parts and material-handling duties as required.
Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the organization’s mission, values, and culture.
Adhere to quality and safety standards.
Support other projects and perform duties as assigned.
Participate in lean, Six Sigma, quality, or safety initiatives as required.
