About The Position

APC Components is hiring a 2nd Shift CNC Operator/Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling machines and lathes for consistent, high-quality production. The role involves interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications; conducting inspections; managing tooling and program changes; and troubleshooting machining issues. The operator will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to improve machining efficiency and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. The position is based on-site at APC Components’ Green Bay, Wisconsin plant, a modern, clean, air-conditioned facility equipped with up-to-date CNC machinery.

Requirements

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in CNC machining and setup with mills and lathes.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and common part inspection practices.
Strong familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection processes.
Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work in a team environment, with a self-motivated and positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Experience or aptitude with 5-axis machining or multi-spindle lathes.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling machines and lathes.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications for machine setup and machining.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other standard measuring tools.
Change tooling, load programs, and adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets.
Troubleshoot setup and machining discrepancies.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations in accordance with 5S and company safety protocols.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to optimize setups and machining efficiency.
