About The Position
JPM Manufacturing and TruAxis Technologies are looking for an experienced CNC Operator / CNC Machinist to join their manufacturing team. They manufacture precision components and industrial equipment using a variety of CNC and metal fabrication technologies. This position is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC equipment, understands G-Code, can read drawings, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of CNC machining, CNC operation, or fabrication equipment experience.
- Strong understanding of G-Code programming and editing.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and work instructions.
- Experience setting tooling, fixtures, and work offsets.
- Familiarity with precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and height gauges.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to producing high-quality work safely and efficiently.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with industrial fabrication or precision manufacturing.
- Experience operating multiple types of CNC equipment.
- Knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience.
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to train or assist less experienced operators is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC manufacturing equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Edit and adjust G-Code programs as required.
- Perform machine setup, tooling changes, fixture setup, and work offsets.
- Verify part dimensions using precision measuring equipment.
- Monitor machine performance and maintain high production quality.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Work with engineering and production teams to improve quality and efficiency.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
