About The Position

New Wire Marine is searching for a CNC Machinist/Operator. New Wire Marine is an inventive, innovative, and developing company located in Charleston, SC. We build and sell aftermarket boat dash and switch panels to individuals, service shops, and OEMs all over the world. We hand design, mill, etch and assemble each item – resulting in custom made-to-order products.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic math skills, including algebra and geometry.
• Knowledge of reading calipers.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use basic hand tools.
• Understanding of various computer applications, including DropBox.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the marine and boating industry a plus!

Responsibilities

• Work independently with the utmost efficacy and safety.
• Confidently deliver on excellent attention to detail with exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Understand and read work orders, drawings and follow detailed instructions.
• Create toolpaths using G-code generating software.
