About The Position

H3 Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist for a direct hire position. This role involves operating and performing routine setups on CNC machines to produce precision components according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have previous CNC manufacturing experience, a strong focus on quality, and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues while maintaining productivity and safety standards. The position requires ITAR compliance, and applicants must be U.S. Persons. Sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–5 years of CNC machining or CNC operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience performing machine setups and tool changes.
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CNC machining and operation (preferably with precision, complex, tight tolerance components).
  • Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Siemens, or similar CNC controls.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Independently operate one or more CNC mills, lathes, or other CNC equipment.
  • Perform routine machine setups, including loading programs, changing tooling, setting offsets, and verifying first-piece quality.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering drawings, and process documentation.
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and gauges.
  • Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities to improve cycle time, quality, and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot routine machining and quality issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
  • Complete production documentation accurately.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance and maintain clean, organized workstations using 5S principles.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and company policies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
