About The Position

The Tooling Zone is actively looking to hire a CNC Mill Machinist. This is a full-time position with one hire expected for this role. The CNC Machinist will perform machining and in-process inspection as outlined by shop paperwork, process documentation, engineering drawings, and quality requirements. They will also identify cost reduction and productivity improvement opportunities to their supervisor or the operations director. The role requires a high degree of proficiency in the setup, operation, and care of the machinery, and adherence to dimensions and tolerances found on blueprints for First Article Inspection. The machinist must be capable in the use of inspection measuring instruments such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers. Additionally, they will maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area, perform periodic maintenance on equipment, and follow all safety procedures.

Requirements

• Proficiency in the setup, operation, and care of CNC machinery.
• Ability to adhere to dimensions and tolerances found on blueprints.
• Capability in the use of inspection measuring instruments such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Ability to perform periodic maintenance on equipment.
• Ability to follow all safety procedures.

Nice To Haves

• High school or equivalent
• 5 years of Machining experience
• 5 years of CNC experience
