About The Position

This is a full-time position for a CNC Mill Machinist. The role involves setting up and operating advanced CNC equipment, machining complex components to tight tolerances, and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T requirements. The machinist will also troubleshoot machining issues, ensure compliance with quality standards, collaborate with engineering, and mentor junior machinists.

Requirements

• 10+ years of CNC machining experience (aerospace/defense preferred)
• Advanced multi-axis machining and strong G-code knowledge
• Strong knowledge of aerospace materials and machining practices
• Deep understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
• Experience with regulated environments (AS9100, NADCAP)
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments

Responsibilities

• Set up new and repeat parts, optimize and operate advanced CNC equipment (3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills)
• Machine/monitor complex components to tight tolerances
• Interpret detailed engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement optimization
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and internal quality standards
• Collaborate with engineering on process improvements
• Mentor junior machinists and support team development
