Requirements

  • Ability to write simple code for machining and probing is required.
  • Must be able to interpret B/P’s, Mfg. work instructions (written), M.O.T.s, etc.
  • A basic understanding of G&M code
  • Core skills training in basic shop math, measuring tools and blueprint reading or demonstrated equivalent knowledge is required.
  • Knowledge in machine shop practices and the use of respective inspection instruments used in inspecting own parts.
  • Able to use measuring tools (rulers, micrometers, calipers, coordinate measuring equipment, etc.) and hand or power tools (hand/air impact wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.).
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude/comprehension.
  • GD&T experience is required.
  • All U.S. applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Mastercam, Fanuc Controls and Haas Equipment experience
  • 5 years of experience with emphasis on 5 Axis CNC machining.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have effective communication skills and work well with others
  • Aerospace hardware manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for following safety rules, producing quality workmanship, and for good housekeeping in and around the work area.
  • Plans sequence of operations, determine cutting tools to be used, method of holding, aligning work and machine speeds and feeds associated with 3 and/or 5 axis CNC machines. Fanuc controls and HAAS equipment
  • Experience with tool & dye making as well as short run production
  • Ability to write simple code for machining and probing is required. The ability to write programs a huge plus.
  • Responsible for own set-ups, and for inspecting own parts, including in-process inspection records.
  • Completion of all associated paperwork and recordkeeping as required.
  • Initiate change requests to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Work under minimal supervision while handling multiple job requirements.
  • Assist in fabrication simple jigs & fixtures for machining process if required.
  • Utilize technical information from a variety of sources, including, conversations with engineers, equipment operators, and other tooling personnel, electronic and conventional technical documents.
  • Employee may be required to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50Lbs. following proper ergonomic procedures.
