About The Position

We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists with 4+ recent years of experience operating 4-axis vertical Mills and 2-axis lathes for a 3-month contract onsite in NEW YORK. This role involves setting up and operating Okuma and Hardinge CNC lathes with Okuma/OSP and Fanuc controls, respectively. You will also operate Okuma vertical mills with Okuma/OSP controllers. The position requires setting up machinery to print without setup sheets, completing quality checks, and some deburring. The ability to set up and operate two machines simultaneously is essential. This is a travelling contract position.

Requirements

• 4+ recent years of experience operating 4-axis vertical Mills and 2-axis lathes.
• Must have ITAR Documentation (Passport or Birth Certificate).
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to setup and operate 2 machines at the same time.
• Must pass a vision test upon arrival.
• Proficient in GD&T.
• Proficient in CNC Tooling.
• Proficient in G-Code.
• Proficient in M-Code.
• Proficient in Troubleshooting CNC Machines.

Nice To Haves

• Technical degree or certification in machining is a plus.
• 3-axis vertical mill experience is accepted.

Responsibilities

Benefits

• Pay Rate $40/hr
• $45 per diem (tax-free), 7 days a week
