CNC Machinist 3rd Shift (Castings- Gray & Ductile Iron)
About The Position
StatusQuoSucks® is looking for a CNC Machinist to machine gray and ductile iron castings to print. This role involves working across a mix of equipment including CNC lathes, mills, and multi-axis machines from multiple OEMs. The machinist will perform setups, tool changes, offsets, and in-process checks, while reading and interpreting blueprints, work instructions, and quality requirements. This position requires holding tight tolerances on parts and working closely with quality, engineering, and production teams. The work environment is a foundry + machine shop operation where raw castings are transformed into finished parts. The company values problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- CNC machining experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to read prints and use basic inspection tools
- Takes pride in doing it right the first time
Nice To Haves
- Experience machining castings or iron is a plus
- Experience with aluminum machining (willingness to learn iron)
- Experience with castings
