Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment required.
  • Strong listening and communication skills; verbal and written skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong understanding of Lean/Continuous Improvement Methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated self-starter
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Manufacturing ERPs (Job Boss)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EDM, Makino Fast Hole, or aerospace manufacturing is preferred but not required.
  • Candidates with strong machining fundamentals and a desire to learn are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Set Up and operates EDM/CNC machines and other related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
  • Makes all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
  • Inspects work as required for all dimensional features as required.
  • Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc.
  • Perform duties always exercising good machining practices.
  • Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
  • Trains, guides, and assists other employees as required.
  • Taking a proactive approach to solving process or system related problems and coordinating with other team members/departments when necessary for resolution of problems
  • Comply with OSHA, health, safety, and environment requirements.
  • May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual’s skills.
