About The Position

Vactor Mfg. Inc. is seeking a 3rd shift CNC Machinist to operate CNC machining centers, make and revise CNC programs, and perform setups on all machines. The role involves learning various machining processes, inspecting work with precision measuring equipment, maintaining equipment, troubleshooting, running deburring equipment, and using fixtures to produce parts. The machinist will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe workplace and committing to overtime when needed.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years CNC machine operation experience and knowledge
Able to operate conventional machines, such as, but not limited to: engine lathe, Bridgeport, turret lathe, and radial drill press
Able to learn CNC programming software
Must be able to read blueprints
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Ability to work in prolonged postures (bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing, and squatting) while performing all job tasks.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machining centers, such as mills and lathes
Make and revise CNC programs
Perform set-ups on all machines
Learn processes such as drilling, reaming, tapping, milling, boring and turning
Inspect own work using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
Maintain equipment and perform basic troubleshooting
Run deburring equipment
Use fixtures to produce parts
Maintain a clean, safe workplace
Commit to overtime when needed
