About The Position

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate advanced CNC machining equipment to manufacture high-precision medical device components. The role focuses on maintaining tight tolerances, achieving required surface finishes, and meeting quality standards. The position is onsite in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and candidates must be local. Availability for first, second, or third shift is required.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of hands-on CNC machining experience.
Ability to independently set up and operate CNC machining equipment.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and process documentation.
Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
Knowledge of machining fundamentals, cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and tool offset adjustments.
Ability to perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
Experience maintaining tight tolerances and achieving required surface finishes.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Commitment to product quality, workplace safety, and production efficiency.
Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area.
Must be available to work onsite in West Chester, PA; local candidates only.
Availability for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Mazak machines and Mazatrol controls.
Experience with Swiss-type CNC lathes and multi-axis machining centers.
Familiarity with Haas, Okuma, Mori Seiki, Citizen, Tsugami, DMG Mori, or Makino equipment.
Experience in medical device, aerospace, defense, or other precision manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines, including multi-axis machining centers and Swiss-type CNC lathes.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing process documentation.
Select cutting tools and perform tool offset adjustments.
Monitor machining operations and adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling as needed.
Inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and product quality.
Maintain tight tolerances and required surface finishes in precision-machined components.
Troubleshoot machining problems and implement adjustments to improve production efficiency.
Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area.
Follow manufacturing procedures, quality requirements, and workplace safety standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce machining defects.
