About The Position

Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine. The role involves downloading programs and using Manual Data Input (MDI) as needed, performing own programming and running details, and setting up and machining to required programs and tolerances. The machinist will recheck setups, change cutters and inserts, and make adjustments to achieve optimal results. Responsibilities also include maintaining appropriate tools, keeping them current on calibration, maintaining a clean work area, following all safety rules, reporting unsafe conditions, and regular attendance. Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required, including operating overhead cranes.

Requirements

Programming experience using Mastercam or Work NC
Experience with 3 axis machining
Experience with Mazak, Haas, and/or Mitsubishi Mills
A well rounded knowledge of cutters and inserts, and feeds/speeds.
High school or equivalent education
Valid driver’s license
Full use of all limbs
Ability to read and speak English
Ability to lift 40 pounds

Nice To Haves

Experience with large mills
Experience with 3+2 and 5 axis machining
Two years of experience

Responsibilities
