About The Position

The CNC Machinist operates CNC mills and lathes as well as manual knee mills and manual lathes. The role supports machine setup and prove-outs, performs tool changes and adjustments, and runs short production batches with frequent changeovers. The machinist inspects parts during and after production, operates multiple machines as needed, and troubleshoots machining and quality issues.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of CNC machining experience.
• Ability to work on both mills and lathes.
• Basic understanding of G- and M-code.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to work in a job shop or short-run environment.
• Comfort operating multiple machines and handling changeovers.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with HAAS mills and lathes and Fanuc controls.
• Ability to edit programs at the machine; full programming is not required.
• CAM programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual knee mills, and manual lathes.
• Perform tool changes and adjust offsets, machine feeds and speeds, and tooling.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Support machine setup and prove-outs.
• Run short production batches with frequent changeovers.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Load and unload parts and manage multiple machines as needed.
• Troubleshoot machining or quality issues.
