Responsible for producing quality parts by following work instructions, blueprints, and inspection requirements while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards. Requirements

  • 2 plus years of experience in machining/ manufacturing industry
  • Must be proficient in all Operator – Level 3 Essential Functions

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

  • Measure part dimensions and verify requirements using appropriate gauges and measuring instruments.
  • Record inspection results and complete check sheets as required.
  • Load and unload workpieces into machines manually when weight permits and in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Operate cranes, hoists, or lifting devices as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of machines and surrounding work area.
  • Operate basic CNC machine controls and make adjustments based on part measurements.
  • Index or replace insert tooling as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain proper oil and coolant levels.
  • Deburr, polish, and finish parts to specification.
  • Accurately track time and “clock in” to the appropriate job or work order.
  • Adjust tool offsets as required to maintain part tolerances.
  • Change, replace, and install tooling required for production runs.
  • Touch off and set tools as required for the job.
  • Compare blueprint dimensions to inspection check sheet requirements.
  • Perform basic CNC program editing as needed.
  • Calculate surface feet per minute (SFM) and feed rates for tooling applications.
  • Load and unload programs to and from CNC machines and computer systems.
  • Perform basic machine setups and changeovers from part to part.
  • Perform basic bench work and assembly operations as needed.
  • Perform basic setup and operation of CNC equipment.
  • Perform basic manual CNC programming.
  • Perform basic CAD programming, including 2D machining work.
  • Build basic fixtures using prints, work instructions, or supervisor guidance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints proficiently.
  • Calibrate and efficiently use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and indicators.
