CNC Machinist - 1st Shift (7:00am - 3:00pm)
About The Position
ContiTech is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate CNC mill machining equipment following a production schedule. This role involves accurately labeling and stamping parts, moving finished parts, maintaining machine coolant and oil levels, and ensuring refractometer readings are within acceptable levels. The position also includes programming and machining new fixtures, training new employees, and programming and machining prototype parts and new jobs. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, is mandatory. The work environment is climate-controlled but includes exposure to forklifts, pedestrian traffic, and moderate noise. Comprehensive training is provided for the physical tasks involved, including lifting and operating machinery. ContiTech USA, LLC in Valparaiso, Indiana also supports trades with its Registered Apprenticeship Program for emerging Machinists.
Requirements
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

- Minimum of 1 year of relevant CNC machining experience.
- Ability to work 8-hour shift.
- Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
- Intermediate maintenance experience.
- Ability to perform tasks outside of department.
- Intermediate experience working with steel and aluminum, hoist operation, measurement capabilities, blueprint reading, machine programming, and basic safety procedures.
- CMM experience.
- Advanced maintenance experience.
- Expert level experience working with steel and aluminum, hoist operation, measurement capabilities, blueprint reading, machine programming, and basic safety procedures.

Responsibilities
