CNC Machinist - Night Shift

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of CNC machine operation
- G & M code fluency
- Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity.
- Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
Nice To Haves
- Post-secondary CNC education preferred
- Okuma control knowledge a plus
- Experience with large diameter, thin wall parts preferred
- Interested in learning with, and from, engineering and programming team to improve operations.
Responsibilities
- Performs detailed machine setups on 3 and 5 axis machines.
- Runs parts with little to no supervision.
- Inspects each part manufactured to ensure overall perfect quality.
- Assists in other areas of the facility where there may be a chance to learn other shop practices.
- Efficiently set up, maintain and operate vertical and horizontal multi-axis milling and turning machines to produce high-quality precision aerospace components without supervision.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machine.
- Read operation sheets and blueprints.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, and other staff.
- Other duties as directed by supervisor.
