About The Position

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. Graco Machinists run BOTH high production runs and low volume runs, depending on the department and product line. We use CAM systems to program. Our shop is pristine-clean, well lit, and climate controlled. All tools are provided. Shifts are available for 4pm – 4am, Sunday – Tuesday (nights) or 4pm – 4am, Wednesday – Friday (nights). Employees work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours, working only 3 days a week, allowing more time off. The pay range is $27.35 - $37.95/hr with a $1.00/hr shift differential for night or weekend shifts. Machine types at Graco include Citizen Swiss lathes, Mazak, Index 5-axis, Hydromat, Mori Seiki, Robodrills, and Haas.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, or equivalent.
  • Completed at least a 2-year qualified precision machining program; OR at least 4 years of equivalent prior CNC machining experience.
  • Ability to read and understand CNC programs and blueprints as required.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision and consistently maintain the performance levels set for quality and quantity.
  • Understand safety rules and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC mills or lathes to safely produce parts that meet Graco quality requirements at the lowest cost in a timely manner.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot a variety of CNC machines within a department.
  • Adjust tools and replace as necessary.
  • Create and edit CNC programming.
  • Perform daily maintenance of machines as required.
  • Read and understand layouts and blueprints for complex parts (includes Geometric Tolerancing).
  • Provide accurate inventory counts.
  • Use of comparator, CMM, Trimos, gages and related test instruments.
  • Perform necessary side operations as required (i.e. deburring).
  • Work as a team member and communicate with machine group shifts.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area.
