About The Position

American Thermowell, a TASI Measurement Company, is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes with Fanuc controls to produce precision components in a low-volume manufacturing environment. This role involves interpreting blueprints, entering code for machining parameters, and adjusting tooling to meet dimensional tolerances. The position also includes performing daily equipment maintenance, ensuring proper lubrication, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Requirements

• Education or equivalent experience related to the skillset needed for this position.
• Fanuc format base Computer Numerical Control (CNC) experience is an asset.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Operate and set up CNC Lathe machines to perform repetitive machining operations-low volume.
• Change offsets and tooling to maintain dimensional tolerances.
• Calculate and verify dimensions and tolerances of machined parts using knowledge of mathematics and precision instruments such as tape measures, steel scales, and Vernier calipers.
• Enter codes specifying speed, feed, and cut of the tool path for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tool parts.
• Fanuc format base Computer Numerical Control (CNC).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes with Fanuc controls to produce precision components in a low-volume manufacturing environment.
• Interpret blueprints.
• Enter code for speed, feed, and cutting parameters.
• Adjust tooling and offsets to meet dimensional tolerances.
• Calculate and verify part dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform daily equipment maintenance.
• Ensure proper machine lubrication before operation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Perform Daily maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Keeping your work area clean and any other duties requested by your supervisor.
• Ensure that all CNC machines are adequately lubricated before each processes initiation.
