About The Position
Vactor Mfg. Inc. is seeking a CNC Machinist for their 3rd shift operations. This role involves operating CNC machining centers, making and revising CNC programs, performing setups, and learning various machining processes. The machinist will be responsible for inspecting their own work, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe workplace. Overtime may be required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years CNC machine operation experience and knowledge
- Able to operate conventional machines, such as, but not limited to: engine lathe, Bridgeport, turret lathe, and radial drill press
- Able to learn CNC programming software
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in prolonged postures (bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing, and squatting) while performing all job tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machining centers, such as mills and lathes
- Make and revise CNC programs
- Perform set-ups on all machines
- Learn processes such as drilling, reaming, tapping, milling, boring and turning
- Inspect own work using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Maintain equipment and perform basic troubleshooting
- Run deburring equipment
- Use fixtures to produce parts
- Maintain a clean, safe workplace
- Commit to overtime when needed
