This position is a night shift position. The schedule is Monday - Thursday, 4:30pm - 3:00am. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling and turning centers to manufacture aerospace and defense components. This requires interpreting complex engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards, as well as selecting and adjusting cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices for various aerospace materials. The machinist will perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments, deburr and finish parts to aerospace standards, and accurately document production data within the ERP system. Responsibilities also include setting up and running parts of varying complexity, supporting prototype and experimental manufacturing, collaborating with engineering and quality teams, and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment is crucial.
