About The Position

The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC drills and machines. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and proficiency in using various measuring tools. The position also involves operating overhead cranes, cutting supports, and occasionally operating forklifts. Other job responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Highly safety-oriented individual
• 2 years CNC Drill experience required
• Ability to be punctual
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, etc.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in the manufacturing and fabrication of shell & tube heat exchangers, pressure preferred vessels and/or towers
• Problem solving capabilities
• Ability to follow instructions and work well with others
• Verbal communication skills
• Ability to work overtime if needed

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating CNC drills and machines
• Wearing proper PPE at all times on shop floor and follow all safety protocols and procedures
• Reading prints for required specifications and dimensions
• Measuring parts using different measuring tools (tape measure, dial calipers, dial indicators, micrometers)
• Removing slag using grinders
• Operating overhead cranes on daily basis to load machines with parts
• Cutting supports to lengths needed using a hot saw
• Occasionally operating forklifts
• Performing other job responsibilities as assigned
