CNC Machinist (Multiple Shifts)
About The Position
Cannonball Recruiting is seeking experienced CNC Machinists for multiple production and job shop roles in Pennsylvania, serving aerospace, marine, and nuclear/power industries. The positions involve setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and multi-axis machines, using equipment from manufacturers including Haas, Okuma, Doosan, and Mazak. Pay is $30–$40 per hour, with a 10% shift differential for second-shift hours. First shift runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; second shift runs Monday through Friday, 5:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Overtime is available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
- Trade certificate or at least 2 years of experience operating CNC machines.
- Proficient math skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Team-oriented approach, including willingness to help peers and remain open to new ideas or ways of completing projects.
- Excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and multi-axis machines.
- Interpret blueprints, manuals, and GD&T symbols.
- Work with various types of metals.
- Take measurements and verify correctness using CMMs, micrometers, depth gauges, and similar tools.
- Follow good manufacturing and safety practices.
- Complete quality-control documentation and inspection sheets.
