About The Position

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. This role involves operating CNC mills and lathes to machine parts according to specifications. The position requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to use various measuring instruments and hand tools. You will be responsible for setting up machines, performing operations, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean work area. This role also requires basic computer proficiency for accessing job instructions and specifications.

Requirements

Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and move materials up to 50lbs.
Ability to stand or walk for an entire shift (approx. 8-10 hours).
Ability to use handheld tools such as Hammers, Screwdrivers, Disc Sanders, Wrenches, Tape Measures, Micrometers, Calipers.
Continuous standing.
Continuous walking.
Occasional sitting.
Occasional stooping (forward leaning).
Occasional reaching/working overhead.
Basic computer proficiency.

Nice To Haves

Prior Lathe or Milling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Install vises, jigs, fixtures, and heavy work pieces onto the mill or lathe for machining.
Operate CNC mills and lathes to machine parts to precise specifications.
Use precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, t-gauges) to ensure accuracy.
Operate computer systems to access instructions and specifications.
Check and fill lubricating fluid as necessary.
Clean and maintain the mill, lathe, and work area at the end of each shift.
Perform lathe operations including holding parts, tooling, setup, cutting speeds and feeds, 4-jaw chuck use, precision machining to .0001 tolerance, and cutting threads.
Perform milling operations including using the mill, attachments, cutters and holders, setting cutter RPM and feed rates, milling flat surfaces, squaring parts, milling grooves, drilling, tapping, boring, and using a dividing or indexing head.
Use bench and disc sanders, and horizontal and vertical bandsaws.
