I&M Machine and Fabrication is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes while ensuring precision, quality, and efficiency in all machining operations.
Requirements
- Experience programming and operating CNC mills and lathes.
- Experience with live tooling.
- Strong blueprint reading and machining knowledge.
- Proficient with precision measuring equipment.
- Strong math, computer, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Fanuc and Mastercam experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings, and process sheets to determine machining requirements.
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes.
- Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks.
- Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Install and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
- Calculate speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and perform basic preventative maintenance.
- Maintain quality and productivity standards.
- Collaborate with team members to improve machining processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
