The CNC Machinist Level 4 is a highly skilled, senior-level role responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC equipment across milling, turning, and mill-turn platforms. Requirements
- Advanced experience with CNC mills, lathes, and mill-turn machines
- Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation
- Ability to manage multiple machines and priorities
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset
- Leadership mindset with willingness to support and train others
- 7+ years of CNC machining experience in a production environment
- Highly proficient in interpreting G-code
- Experience with lean manufacturing workflows and terminology
- Proven ability to perform high level setups across multiple machine types
- Demonstrated ability to reduce downtime and improve process reliability
Responsibilities
- Perform full setups on CNC mills, lathes, and mill-turn machines
- Run first articles and ensure parts meet print before full-rate production
- Perform required inspections using precision tools
- Diagnose and resolve machining issues related to programs, tooling, materials, and setups
- Provide guidance and technical support to other machinists and operators
- Recommend and implement improvements in tooling and workholding
- All other duties as assigned by management
