About The Position

Advanced Machine & Engineering (AME) is seeking an experienced Mazak CNC Lathe Programmer / Set-up & Machine Operation Operator for a full-time, 2nd shift opening. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing all set-ups, writing programs in Mazatrol, and possessing a strong understanding of processes, tooling, gauging, and identifying potential risks in machined parts. The company offers a clean, modern, climate-controlled, and safe work environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent work experience within a tool manufacturing company.
Minimum of 5 years of job shop experience programming and setting up CNC Lathes machining equipment.
Strong math and measuring skills.
Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and interpret computer programs sent to machine centers.
Ability to operate a large overhead crane.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Optimizing each machining process for efficiency and productivity.
Programming CNC lathes using Mazatrol.
Performing set-ups.
Conducting all required inspection checks to ensure parts are within tolerance and meet customer requirements.
Using the correct inspection equipment and tools for quality checks.
Maintaining and storing cutting tools, inspection tools, and specialized machine cell equipment to required standards.
Performing daily maintenance activities, such as checking fluids.
Cleaning and deburring parts as required.
Participating in QC/continuous improvement processes to increase efficiencies.
