At Rolls-Royce, we take pride in being a business that has played a pivotal role in shaping the modern world and remain dedicated to driving progress forward; powering, safeguarding, and connecting people across the globe. Joining Rolls-Royce means you will work on innovative, world-class engineering solutions, supported by a culture that values inclusion, creativity, and your ongoing professional development. This role involves operating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) HELLER machining centers with Siemens 840 D Controllers according to instructions, routings, control plans, production requirements, plans and diagrams. You will study machining instructions, routings, control plans, job orders, and blueprints to determine dimensional and finish specifications, sequences of operations, complex machine setups, and tooling requirements. The position also requires selecting appropriate tools and materials, setting up and adjusting machine tools, performing precision machining operations, and checking precision measuring instruments. Fine-tuning of tools/equipment through sample cuts and optimizing CNC programs are also key responsibilities. You will observe machine operations to detect issues, stop machines to remove finished work pieces or change tooling, and measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications. Maintaining industrial machines within Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) specifications, complying with safety regulations, and maintaining clean work areas are also essential. The role includes identifying and reducing non-value-added work, performing special projects, and maintaining on-the-job flexibility by supporting other production-related areas. Promoting a compliance culture and living the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct is expected.
