About The Position
Schivo Medical operates advanced CNC machining and precision manufacturing equipment to produce critical components for medical and life science customers. The company partners directly with leading OEMs and service providers. Schivo is experiencing rapid growth, offering opportunities for skill development across various technologies and career advancement. The team values problem-solvers who are mechanically inclined and can work on complex swiss screw machines. In-house training will be provided for the right candidate.
Requirements
- Experience with lathe/mill turning machines or trade school CNC Machine Operator certificate.
- Experience using the Fanuc control preferred.
- Working knowledge of various materials & tools (inserts, endmills, drills Etc.).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and positive can-do attitude.
- Must be dependable and possess a willingness to learn new techniques.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Mechanical aptitude: A strong understanding of mechanical principles.
- Attention to detail: The ability to work with tight tolerances where precision is critical.
- Technical knowledge: The ability to read blueprints and specifications and basic knowledge of G-code programming or CAD/CAM software.
- Problem-solving: The ability to troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments.
- Safety consciousness: Adherence to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Teamwork: The ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
- Eligible to work in the United States (company will not sponsor).
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC Machine Operator and inspect finished parts.
- Verify components are produced to print (dimensional and visual inspection).
- Change tools.
- Make offsets.
- Load material and remove scrap.
- Fill out various paperwork.
- Simultaneous operation of multiple machines.
- Minor troubleshooting.
- Part inspection.
