About The Position

Metko, Inc., a local leader and family-owned business in the custom metal and tank fabrication industry is seeking to directly hire a full-time CNC Machine Operator for a 3rd shift opening in its New Holstein, WI, facility. 3rd shift hours are from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM starting Sunday evening and running through Friday morning. Training for the position could tentatively take place during 1st shift hours (6:30 AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Friday) or 2nd shift hours (2:30 PM through 10:30 PM Monday through Friday). We ideally seek previous experience as a CNC Machine Operator, but we will also consider other types of manufacturing machinery and equipment operators that can be trained on our machinery. All applicants should have a stable work history, a proven work attendance record, be mechanically-inclined and possess good physical dexterity. Starting pay will be commensurate with experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of previous Machine Operator experience (CNC would be preferred but not required)
  • Previous experience with sheet metal is desired but not required
  • Ability to read manufacturing blueprints is desired but not required

Responsibilities

  • Operation of CNC Laser and/or Press Brake machinery
  • Produce quality metal fabricated parts to print using allotted times and standards
  • Conducting basic quality inspections of material
  • Use precision measuring equipment for quality assurance of parts (calipers, micrometers and/or tape measures)
  • Follow instructions on work orders
  • Keep work area neat and organized
  • Complete documentation as required
