About The Position

The CNC Machine Operator operates various CNC machines in compliance with the company’s mission and values and department financial objectives. This is a second-shift, safety-sensitive production position in a steel fabrication environment. The employee must be authorized to work in the USA. The role includes operating and maintaining machines, inspecting work, following safety and hazardous-material procedures, and supporting coworkers as needed. Requirements

Three months of CNC machine operations or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision and as a team member.
Ability to read and speak English.
Must be authorized to work in the USA.

Nice To Haves

Experience in structural steel operations.
High school diploma.

Responsibilities

Mill, turn, drill, tap, deburr, mold, and perform bench operations and inspections as required.
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to a supervisor or trainer.
Follow prescribed safety regulations and equipment tag-out procedures.
Comply with Global Harmonized System (GHS), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and hazardous-waste labeling requirements.
Execute proper spill-response procedures.
Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
Keep equipment and the work area clean and orderly.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere through effective behavior and communication with customers, coworkers, clients, and supervisors.
Work safely and conscientiously.
Assist other employees with their duties as necessary.
Perform other job duties as assigned by the supervisor.
