CNC Machine Operator

Weldco-Beales Manufacturing designs and manufactures specialized heavy equipment attachments for the construction, forestry, mining, scrap recycling, road maintenance and resource industries throughout Canada, the USA and internationally. Requirements
- Ticketed journeyman machinist is preferred
- Minimum of 3’rd year apprentice can apply
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the field experience can apply
- Experience machining steel
- Demonstrated knowledge of Fanuc controllers
- Demonstrated proficiency in programming at the machine
- Proficient in the use of all tools common to the machine shop environment
- Advanced knowledge of general safety practices
- In-depth knowledge of all tools and equipment and their use and care
- Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
- Time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 kg
- Excellent safety record
Nice To Haves
- Experience using CAD/CAM software is an asset, specifically Mastercam
- Experience programming and operating CNC Machines using G Code programming is preferred and Mazatrol programming is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand blueprints, study specifications, drawings to determine the required machining operations
- Reads and interprets work orders, set programs and operates CNC lathes and mills
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances, and prepare working sketches if necessary
- Ensure workmanship throughout the manufacturing process and on finished goods meets or exceeds the costs, quality and schedule expectations for all customers
- Check parts for defects, maintains and repairs equipment as required
- Operate various machine shop equipment and tools safety, including some or all of the following: Lathes, Mills, Boring Mills, Drills, Saws and Machining centres
- Safety conscious with full participation in the safety program and all safety requirements
- Other duties as required
