About The Position

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator with hands-on press brake experience to operate and maintain machinery used in structural steel fabrication. The role involves reading shop drawings, working with steel materials, and adjusting machines to ensure accurate production. This is a full-time, direct-hire position in York, Pennsylvania, on the second shift. Starting pay is $23.00 per hour, plus a $3.00-per-hour night differential; higher pay may be available based on experience.

Requirements

• Hands-on press brake operating experience.
• At least 2 years of CNC machine operation experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and structural steel shop drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a production team in a fast-paced shop environment.

Nice To Haves

• CNC machine operation experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.
• Technical or trade school training.
• Overhead crane, forklift, and rigging experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC equipment, including plasma cutters, beam drill lines, and angle lines.
• Read and follow blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders.
• Handle and position steel beams, plates, and other materials using overhead cranes and rigging equipment.
• Adjust machine settings and monitor production to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Use tape measures, calipers, squares, and other precision measuring tools to check dimensions and tolerances.
• Make basic programming changes to accommodate different material sizes and thicknesses.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
