CNC Machine Operator - 1st Shift

About The Position

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating a cutting system with gantry-type machining center capabilities. The system can cut carbon steel plate up to 10 inches thick and stainless steel plate up to 6 1/4 inches thick, and has 360-degree contour beveling capabilities for steel, aluminum, and other alloy metals. The position suits someone who enjoys working on one-of-a-kind pieces and interesting challenges while providing quality products for customers. This is a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pay is $24–$27 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience operating cutting equipment in a metal shop using a laser, waterjet, and/or plasma table.
Ability to work safely and cautiously, with care for people, equipment, and products.
Knowledge of large material handling.
Ability to prioritize, make decisions, follow instructions, and recognize and adhere to quality standards.
Ability to work independently or with others, demonstrating responsible behavior and attention to detail.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance measures to ensure equipment and workplace safety.
Ability to read and work from blueprints.
Strong math skills.

Nice To Haves

Crane rigging experience with large parts is a strong plus.
