About The Position

The Machine Operator packages and labels material for loading and distribution and is responsible for quality control of finished products. The role uses hand tools and equipment, measuring gauges, and tape measures, and involves communicating with team members to maintain continuous production of the correct product at high quality while minimizing wasted time and materials. Housekeeping and sanitation are also part of the position. The job is based at 6168 State Route 233, Rome, NY 13440. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; shifts may be 8, 10, or 12 hours depending on the day's work orders and the season, and overtime may be available. Pay is $19.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Manufacturing environment experience is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment.
• Ability to follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in overhead crane operations is helpful but not required.
• Forklift experience is helpful but not required.
