We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator / Machinist First Class to join our team in West Middlesex, PA. This is a union position offering competitive wages, benefits, and the opportunity to work on a variety of custom and industrial machining projects. Candidates should be reliable, safety-focused, and experienced in setting up and operating multiple types of machining equipment. A Machinist First Class must have the ability to interpret blueprints, independently set up equipment, and perform machining operations to the required tolerances specified on applicable drawings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of machining or CNC machine operation experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience setting up and operating multiple types of machining equipment
  • Experience with milling, boring, turning, grinding, drilling, and tapping operations
  • Ability to work accurately to specified dimensions and tolerances
  • Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, machining drawings, and specifications
  • Set up and operate CNC and conventional machining equipment
  • Perform milling, boring, turning, grinding, drilling, tapping, and other machining operations
  • Machine components to the dimensions and tolerances specified on applicable drawings
  • Select and properly use appropriate tooling for machining operations
  • Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and other inspection tools
  • Inspect work during and after machining to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality
  • Make necessary machine, tooling, and setup adjustments to maintain required tolerances
  • Perform proficiently on all applicable Company machining equipment
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
