As an Operator-in-Training / CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for demonstrating exceptional attendance, loading parts, operating machine controls, machining components, inspecting finished parts, and deburring as required. You will monitor parts during production to ensure conformance to quality and customer requirements, and follow established processes, sequences of operations, and setup requirements with supervision as needed. The role involves reading and interpreting basic blueprint dimensions and tolerances, meeting Earned Standard Hours goals and performance objectives, and completing all required documentation accurately. You will also follow procedures for identifying, documenting, and controlling nonconforming parts, participate in and sustain Ultra C-Lean initiatives, and maintain proper inventory and care of hand tools and inspection equipment. Additionally, you will detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and promptly report issues to the Cell Leader or supervision, maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, perform machine setups and tool offsets (verified by a Team Lead or Machinist before production), and accurately complete the Tie-In Book. You will mark each unloaded part with your employee number and associated operation number and perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
