CNC Machine Operator in Training
About The Position
As an Operator-in-Training / CNC Machine Operator, you will demonstrate exceptional attendance, load parts, operate machine controls, machine components, inspect finished parts, and deburr as required. You will monitor parts during production to ensure conformance to quality and customer requirements, follow established processes, sequences of operations, and setup requirements (with supervision as needed). You will read and interpret basic blueprint dimensions and tolerances, meet Earned Standard Hours goals and performance objectives, and complete all required documentation accurately. You will also follow Orizon’s procedures for identifying, documenting, and controlling nonconforming parts, participate in and sustain Ultra C-Lean initiatives, and maintain proper inventory and care of hand tools and inspection equipment. Additionally, you will detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and promptly report issues to the Cell Leader or supervision, maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with all policies and procedures, perform machine setups and tool offsets (verified by a Team Lead or Machinist before production), accurately complete the Tie-In Book, including detailed notes on completed work, tool issues, machine alerts, setup checks, and shadow boards, mark each unloaded part with your employee number and associated operation number (PCD or IR aligned), and perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
