The CNC Machine Operator II is responsible for producing precision machined components by independently operating, monitoring, and adjusting Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment. This role requires prior CNC experience and the ability to read blueprints, perform dimensional inspections, adjust offsets, and maintain consistent production quality. The CNC Machine Operator II plays a key role in maintaining production efficiency, product quality, and a safe work environment, while supporting continuous improvement within the manufacturing operation.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of CNC machining or CNC operator experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience performing machine offsets and minor adjustments
  • Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Strong understanding of quality standards and inspection processes
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality

Responsibilities

  • Independently operate CNC machines to produce precision machined components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and work instructions
  • Perform in-process and final dimensional inspections using gauges and measuring tools
  • Adjust machine offsets to maintain dimensional specifications
  • Monitor cycle times and production output to ensure efficiency targets are met
  • Troubleshoot minor machining issues and identify opportunities to improve production performance
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and production documentation
  • Populate daily production boards with production, quality, and safety metrics
  • Verify and record heat lot numbers and traceability requirements
  • Use scales to weigh and count production parts
  • Maintain clean machines, organized workstations, and gauge tables
  • Remove machine chips when required and dispose of materials properly
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
