The role keeps precision CNC machining equipment running to the tolerances that medical device components demand. This position suits a maintenance professional with genuine CNC experience who understands that in precision manufacturing, machine condition and accuracy are inseparable. It offers varied hands-on work in a clean, well-run production environment.

Requirements

  • Solid mechanical troubleshooting capability along with working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret machine schematics and technical documentation.
  • Strict adherence to lockout/tagout and industrial safety practice is mandatory.
  • Must supply and use standard hand tools.
  • Able to lift heavy components and work in physically demanding positions.
  • Available onsite for the assigned shift including occasional extended hours during breakdowns.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the engagement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Swiss-type lathes, multi-axis machining centers, or EDM equipment is highly valued in precision component manufacture.
  • Familiarity with coolant management and filtration systems.
  • Tool changer and pallet system maintenance.
  • Any exposure to equipment qualification protocols in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on CNC machining centers, lathes, and related precision equipment according to schedule, including lubrication systems, way covers, ballscrews, spindles, coolant systems, filtration, and chip management.
  • Diagnose and repair machine faults across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, working from schematics and manufacturer documentation to identify root cause and restore the machine to specification rather than merely to running condition.
  • Support machine accuracy through alignment checks, geometry verification, backlash and compensation adjustment, and coordination of calibration activity, ensuring equipment continues to hold the tolerances required for medical device components.
  • Document all maintenance and repair work accurately in the maintenance management system as required in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Manage spare parts requirements.
  • Follow lockout/tagout and machine safety procedures without exception.
  • Support equipment installation and qualification activity.
  • Contribute to machine reliability improvement by tracking recurring faults, recommending preventive maintenance adjustments, and identifying equipment that warrants overhaul or replacement.
  • Coordinate with external service providers and OEM technicians for specialist repairs and calibration, verifying that returned equipment meets specification before it goes back into production.

Benefits

  • Building CNC maintenance experience that is in consistent demand across advanced manufacturing sectors.
  • Extension or conversion may be possible depending on performance and continued need.
  • We work closely with our contract professionals throughout the assignment, from onboarding and first-week check-ins through to end-of-contract planning, and we actively look for the next opportunity for people who deliver well.
