About The Position

The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathe machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience operating CNC lathe machines.
  • Proficiency in G-code and CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines for production and prototype parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters.
  • Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other instruments to ensure tolerances.
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineers for solutions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of setups, production runs, and inspections.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Setup and run multiple machines concurrently
  • Operate live tooling if applicable
