About The Position

Mill Creek Machining (MCM), a Delva Tool & Machine company, is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist for our Spencer, IA location. The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for quality parts produced on our Doosan, Takamaz, and Mazak lathes. This position works a schedule of Monday thru Friday from 7:00am - 5:00pm. The pay range for this role starts at $20+/hr. depending on experience. A weekly attendance bonus of $44.00 per week will be added to each pay period when all scheduled hours are worked.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
1+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to produce precision work.

Responsibilities

Verifies cycle times on all jobs and reports discrepancies to his/her crew chief and annotates on traveler.
Verifies/sets gauging against known standards and ensures gauging is correct per inspection sheet.
Knows and ensures all safety devices are in place and working properly.
Inspects machine and work area in general for proper order and operation.
Operates machinery according to acceptable and safe practice.
Makes routine offsets and able to ascertain the need for changing inserts and capable of doing so as needed.
Able to change work holding fixtures and tooling as instructed by crew chief.
Assists in the preparation and execution of set ups as directed by machinist or crew chief.
Competent in all the duties of a trainee and performs all tasks as assigned by supervision/management.
