About The Position

As a CNC Machinist you will produce complex machined parts by setting up and operating a CNC Lathe Machines. We currently operate state-of-the-art: Multi-axis Mazak Turning Centers What you’ll do Read blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, and depth of cut. Select, positions, and secure work piece (chuck, collet, or vise). Change tools, adjust offsets and tool comps to maintain required part quality. Inspect products during the machining operation to determine if parts meet print specifications. Observe operation of machine and verify conformance of machined workpiece to specifications. Maintain equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements. Reporting need for machine repairs. Understand and comply with company policy safety guidelines, quality systems requirements and housekeeping standards. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Prior experience operating CNC Lathes (experience preferred in setting up and programming/editing programs)
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints including GD&T tolerancing with profile tolerancing preferred.
  • Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction.
  • Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, ability to anticipate, think ahead and plan.
  • Ability to work in a team, strong interpersonal skills, effective communication skills.
