CNC Lathe Machinist/Programmer

Requirements
- High school diploma, vocational training preferred
- 3-5 years CNC Lathe experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to use inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometer to ensure part is within specifications
Responsibilities
- Program, set-up and operate Mazak and Doosan turning centers
- Analyze blueprints and engineering drawings to determine parts dimensions and cut configurations
- Determine type and size of cutting tool according to metal stock hardness and cut shape
- Locate position of metal stock on machine fixture, machining start point on tool set point, and cutter change points by 3-dimensional coordinates
- Troubleshoot machining problems to produce a quality part
