About The Position

This position involves operating CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to fabricate PTFE parts. The role requires reading and understanding blueprints, performing job setups, and utilizing various measuring equipment. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, complying with quality policies, and participating in continuous improvement of certification programs are also key aspects of the role. Responsibilities may include daily cleaning and maintenance of CNC machinery, performing 2nd operation machining, counting and kitting components for shipment, and operating manual lathes and drill presses as needed. This position requires the use of information subject to ITAR, and all applicants must be U.S. persons.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Internal candidates: 1 year seniority with the company OR Certification in one of the following: Machining, CNC machining, Machine Technology or completion of a relevant program
External candidates: Qualify in one of the following Certification in one of the following: Machining, CNC machining, Machine Technology or completion of a relevant program
2 years of experience in Machining for 5 consideration
3 years of experience in Machining for 6 consideration
Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee or Refugee).

Responsibilities

Operate CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to fabricate PTFE parts.
Read and understand blueprints.
Perform own job set up.
Use measuring equipment such as scales, micrometers, PI tapes, optical comparators, and calipers.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
Participate in, and continuously improve, the facility’s certification programs (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, AS9100, etc.) to achieve plant goals and objectives.
Maintain exceptional standards of quality for Machinist.
Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
2nd Operation machining.
Counting and kitting of components for shipment.
Operate manual lathe and drill press as required.
